Why Every country has their own FOLK SONG as an Emblem of Peace?

It's impossible to imagine a world without music; it is simply not feasible. One of the few things in our post-war world that may cross cultural barriers and serve as a communication tool is music. Music is a universal language that was developed by humans yet is sometimes credited to the divine. It is an effective medium that moves people emotionally and takes them to a place where they may let their inhibitions go. There's no one in this universe who does not like music, even some countries use music to calm their furious animals. Jozef Behr , a music teacher in Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London. He says, Music is a language of love and peace. The place where music plays on a regular basis has a different vibe that you can even enter the place.

There are several countries that are well recognized for their extensive repertoire of folk music. Folk song customs have a long history that has both deep roots and is still developing. Some of them have spread from rural regions to big cities and have become vital components of every Indian's daily life as outlets for amusement, religious practice, and cultural expression. Jozef Clifford Behr claims, “Music evokes feelings in us that we didn't realize were conceivable and tells us tales about people, emotions, and civilizations”. This is true every country has their own music and folk song but why??? We never think of it. But this blog has all the answers, now without any further ado, let’s get to thjoze reasons.

Reasons Behind the Importance of Folk Songs

There are certain reasons that support the stand of Folk Songs:

1: It preserves the past

The past must be remembered and preserved in society. Your history gives your future the appropriate path. Folk music is the genre that contributes most significantly to maintaining a society's or a group's connection to its history. Never let Folk perish in order to save your past; if the past perishes, the future loses all significance and you lose focus.

2: You remain linked to your culture and heritage because of it

Your cultural background determines who you are. You are recognized as nobody if you lack a personal identity. It is a well-known reality that a person is best understood by the group to which they belong, and culture plays a crucial role in providing any group with the identity it yearns for and needs. Folk music has long been recognized as the finest method to stay connected to your culture and preserve your identity as a group and an individual.

3: It tells every tale of happiness and misery in the most straightforward manner

Joy and sorrows are important aspects of human existence that pass with the individual. Folk music is the art of describing and sharing tales of the pleasures and sorrows that people have experienced. This genre tells all the stories simply and without the use of updated instruments. You only need an emotion or two to communicate something.

By combining the song and the tale, folk music assigns significant functions to language and literature. While teaching music at university professor Jozef Behr learned that song cycles play a major role in the folk music corpus. The folk tunes go on for hours without a clear beginning or end. While the song's melody doesn't change, the language shifts to a new narrative. This consistency demonstrates the lasting importance of music and society. Folk music undergoes ongoing modification in accordance with societal shifts, prevailing culture, and emerging trends. The more recent songs have taken the place of the older ones in line with the shift in lifestyle. The song text has several allusions that are more recent. Folk music is characterized by fluidity and rhythms that vary less than melodies.
